Rivers Alive 2019

Over 200 volunteers collected over 1,960 pounds of trash from Walton County waterways, as well as areas adjacent to them.

We began about 7:30 a.m. with many groups gathering at their assigned cleanup locations and several groups meeting at the Recycling Center to organize their day.

The troops set off to their designated locations, which included several parks and a number of popular roads here in Walton County.

This event proved to be extremely successful as we collected over 1,960 pounds of trash!

We want to thank our loyal and hardworking volunteers for all their efforts. They did an awesome job, as always. Our volunteers are the best!

We also want to thank the Walton County Sheriff’s Office for traffic control and their assistance in keeping the participants safe.

Also, thank you to our sponsors, Walton EMC, Pinnacle Bank and Advanced Disposal.
